Content description: The environmentally acceptable organizations of events are increasingly discussed in sport, culture, science, administration or society all over the world. Negative effects on the environment and criteria of sustainability for events are more and more noticed and got higher attention in public discussion. Therefore Green Events gains in importance for organizers and sponsors. Standards for “green meetings” topics are pointing out this trend. Events are modern instruments of communication. The event-market is growing dynamically, but it also affects negative environmental and social consequences. »Green Events« are planned, organized and performed on the basis of sustainability-criteria, as there are: environmentally suitable, social agreeable and economically successful.
