GIN Futures Workshop II: Understanding Environmental Knowledge and Awareness
What connects our environmental awareness and knowledge to our day-to-day behaviors? What types of knowledge helps us change behavior? What types of education will help us better bridge the environmental knowledge and sustainable behavior gap? This participatory workshop will work with the group to help them gain a greater understanding of these constructs and their links to each other. Workshop participants will design concept/mind maps to facilitate discussion and help us point the way toward achieving a preferred future for environmental behavior, knowledge, and education. Work done in this workshop will contribute to an ongoing research project at Acadia University, and follows up the Greening of Industry Network's October 2005 meeting held at Acadia University.
