Organizational mechanisms and dynamics of Partnerships: Multipartite partnerships in India
Bimal Arora, Nottingham University Business School, United Kingdom
This paper examines selected multipartite partnerships in India with an express intention of understanding the various organizational mechanisms and typologies of partnerships. A brief analysis of situations in which such partnerships evolve, the strengths and weaknesses unique to different partnership forms and the resultant impacts on sustainable development is at the core of the research undertaken. The study has been undertaken by a researcher based at one of the major NGO players in CSR in India and is presently largely based on secondary literature on such partnerships - operating in both rural as well as urban settings in India. The findings reflect the spatial diversity and varied intensity of corporate sector involvement on the vast Indian subcontinent.
